Dr Alen Kišić

Born in 1977 in Varaždin, where he currently resides. He graduated from two faculties in Zagreb - Entrepreneurial Economics at the Vern Polytechnic, and Journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences. In 2012, he completed postgraduate specialist studies at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, specializing in Business Systems Management, earning the title of university specialist in economics (univ.spec.oec.). In 2023, he completed his doctoral studies at the same faculty, earning a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Sciences.

He began his career in public relations, serving as the Deputy Director of the Corporate Communications and Marketing Sector at Podravka d.d., as well as the Director of Corporate Communications for Southeast Europe at the METRO Cash & Carry retail chain. He spent four years as the elected Deputy Prefect of Varaždin County, after which he worked as the Director of the Competence Center for Renewable Energy at Varaždin. Since 2019, he has been the Director of Zone North LLC (formerly Free Zone) in Trnovec near Varaždin, one of the largest business zones in Croatia. In addition to his regular job, for many years he has been teaching courses in public relations and cyber communications at the VERN’ University in Zagreb. He has completed numerous professional development programs, such as the London School of Relations and the Political Academy programs of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the Foundation “New Society.”

He is the author of eight scientific papers published in international scientific journals and conferences.
