Srdjan Amidžić, Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina, holds a doctoral degree in economics and is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka.

After graduating from the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka, he continued his education at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, where he obtained a master’s degree in economics. In 2011, he earned his doctoral degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka.

In addition to his academic career, he pursued a political career. From 2014 to 2016, he served as a member of parliament in the ninth convocation of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and from 2016 to 2020, he was the deputy mayor of Banja Luka.

Amidžić is the author or co-author of more than 20 scientific papers published in domestic and international journals in the fields of theoretical economics and analysis. He is also a co-author of three monographs.
