Vojin Mitrović
Dr. Vojin Mitrović was born on April 27, 1961, in the village of Brodac Donji, and completed elementary and high school in Bijeljina.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 from the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad. He defended his Master’s thesis at the same faculty in Novi Sad in 1999, and earned his Ph.D. in 2007.
He has extensive work experience in the industry, and at the beginning of his professional career, he worked at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.
After graduating, he worked as the Head of the Computing Center at “Agrovojvodina” in Novi Sad, and later served as a coordinator at “Majevica” in Bijeljina.
From 1985, he was employed at “Mladost” in Bijeljina, where he worked as the Head of Technology and ERC Manager until 1991.
Until 1992, he served as the Head of the Organization and IT Sector at “Panafleks” in Bijeljina. From 1992 to 1998, he held the position of Director at “Oktan promet” in Bijeljina, and from 1998 to 2014, he worked as an advisor at the same company.
In the general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2014, he was elected as a member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and in 2018, he was elected as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
From 2018 to 2022, he served as the Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH before assuming the position of Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship.
He lives in Bijeljina, is married, and is the father of two children.
